Museum Studies Cohort (MAR 29 - MAY 3)
Meeting Times: Saturdays 10AM - 1PM (with the exception of weekend field trips from Apr 12-13 and Apr 26-27)
Open to all media with an emphasis on sculpture, drawing, and painting; this cohort includes three field trips to art museums in St. Louis, Kansas City, and Chicago. We will rely on the resources and ideas gathered from the field trips to inform and create a body of work during the program. Participants will be creating transcriptions from the artworks and using their discoveries as tools for further exploring their ongoing research of interest.
The structure of this cohort will be a field trip followed by a work week (see schedule below). This will ensure that participants have time to process and synthesize information into their studio exploration and discussions facilitated by Jacob and Misa. Cohort fee includes full time access to the studio, lodging and transportation for Kansas City and Chicago, as well as ticket entrance fees.
Early bird access ($913) expires Dec 31.
